Product properties
Hydraulically binding, two-component sealing mortar, flexible and pressure-resistant, family of products: insulation and coating materials, for making flexible and sealing coatings of all buildings inside and outside, in particular terraces and balconies under ceramic cladding and inside: toilets, bathrooms, laundries, kitchens, cellars, car washes. Waterproofing also foundation walls, basements and waterproofing plinths. Due to the roughness of the resulting coating, it can be used especially where all types of ceramic cladding will be glued (high adhesion of adhesives). Mega Bitum 2K sealing coats can be covered directly with ceramic claddings.
Two-component, flexible sealing membrane, extremely resistant to water - also in constant contact with it, excellent long-term resistance to weather conditions, good scratch resistance, good load-bearing capacity and high water vapor permeability. The resulting coating is rough, the Mega Bitum 2K coating is monolithic, suitable for ceramic cladding, protects buildings against aggressive chemicals (sulphates, chlorides, acids), oils and any active compounds in the ground, it is easy to apply, it can be applied to surfaces with complex shapes.
Application
Preparation of the two-component Mega bitumen 2K sealing mass for application consists in pouring the liquid dispersion into the container and adding the powder component, while mixing it with a slow-rotating basket mixer until a homogeneous mass is obtained (mixing time approx. 4 - 5 minutes). After about 5 minutes, mix the mortar again. The ingredients are quantitatively selected in the appropriate proportion to be mixed. For a thinner consistency (sludge consistency), add up to 3% of water when applying the first coat. Apply the sealant in at least two layers. Apply the first layer in the consistency of slime with a masonry brush or a brush, generously, while intensively rubbing the sealing compound into the substrate. Apply the second and subsequent layers in the consistency of putty with a steel trowel. The minimum thickness of the entire insulation, depending on the application, should be from 2 to 3 mm. The coating can be loaded after the time specified in the table "Technical data". Fix ceramic tiles on terraces, balconies and other surfaces with flexible adhesives.
