Product properties

It is used for making insulating coats resistant to moisture, refurbishing and preserving bitumen roofing, jointless roofing reinforced with technical fabrics, and jointless roof coats on a base of one layer of building paper, and making light insulation of foundations, and insulation for cellars, garages, terraces, and balconies.

For dry and wet substrates. Does not drip from vertical surfaces (up to 120°c). Maintains permanent flexibility. High mechanical resistance.

Application

Substrate preparation The substrate is load-bearing and free from any contamination. Fill any gaps with mortar, repair damaged fragments of the old covering, plaster the foundation walls, round the corners with mortar. Prime the surfaces. After the primed substrate is dry, apply the appropriate coating insulation using roofing brushes or paintbrushes. How to use Apply cold. Before use, mix well. Do not use during rainfall. Avoid very sunny surfaces. Protect the applied mass against intensive drying and precipitation. It can be used in contact with polystyrene and in rooms that are intended for permanent residence of people, e.g. garages, basements. Closed rooms during the use of the product in them and after completion of works should be ventilated until the odor disappears. FOUNDATIONS, FLOOR INSULATION OF CELLARS, GARAGES, TERRACES, BALCONIES: Apply at least two layers (perpendicular to each other). Reinforce the corners with a technical fabric, melting it into a fresh mass. The next layer should be applied after the next layer is dry (about 6 hours). Cover the thickness of one layer of insulation with polystyrene with a thickness of min. 2 cm. Glue the polystyrene in spots with MEGABITUM S-BITUMINOUS ADHESIVE TO POLYSTYRENE BOARDS. The underground parts of the building should be gently covered with earth. MAINTENANCE OF FLAP ROOF COVERINGS: For gluing, use MEGABITUM L-STICKER COLD. Fill in any defects in the old covering with the MEGABITUM ROOFING PUTTY. Apply the proper insulation in at least two layers. Apply the next layer after drying (about 6 hours). In places such as the contact between the slope and the fireplace, melt the technical fabric into the fresh coating, rolling it to the appropriate height. It is recommended to sprinkle the top layer of the coating with mineral sprinkle, which will extend the life of the insulation.

POINTLESS ROOF COVERINGS: Thoroughly clean old roof coverings. Perform the necessary sticking as above. The substrate prepared in this way (as well as the concrete substrate) should be primed. Apply the appropriate coating insulation evenly over the entire surface of the roof. After it is dry, lay out the PP mesh and apply a second layer in stripes the width of the mesh. Make laps on the joint (net on the net) with a width of 10 cm. After drying, apply the third layer with a strip the width of the fabric. Re-lay the fabric on the fresh mass and rub it in until it is soaked with the mass. Immediately smear the top layer of the fabric with the mass. Make overlaps about 10 cm. After it is completely dry, make the fourth layer and it is best to sprinkle it with mineral sprinkle immediately or otherwise protect it against UV rays.
