Application
Substrate preparation: Old roofing - remove dirt, poorly bound pieces of old roofing felt. Cross the bubbles and blisters and stick with cold glue. Fill gaps and holes with MEGABITUM U-ROOFING FILLER. Concrete substrate: Use a cement-based mortar intended for this purpose to fill cavities and damages in the substrate, as well as to knead the corners. Prime the surfaces with MEGABITUM R-BITUMINATIVE SOLVENT PRIMER. Allow it to dry completely. How to use: work with a roofer's brush, steel float or putty knife. Do not use for polystyrene boards, sandwich panels and tar tar paper. Gluing asphalt roofing felt to the base and to each other: Apply to the previously primed base (concrete or old roofing felt) the entire surface (across the entire width of the glued roofing felt layer). Wait 15-20 minutes, put on the tar paper and press it down. Use a 10 cm overlap between the roofing felt and the roofing felt. Lubricate the pap joints from the top once more. When gluing new roofing papers to each other, priming is not required. Application of jointless waterproofing coatings: Prime the insulated surfaces with MEGABITUM R - BITUMINATIVE SOLVENT PRIMER. After the primer is dry, apply the whole surface in 2-3 layers in the amount of approx. 1.5 kg / m2 per one layer. Wait until the previous layer is completely dry before applying subsequent layers. Always apply perpendicular to the previous layer. The total consumption of cold mastic is from 3 to 4.5 kg / m. Control layer thickness by material wear.
