Product properties
It is used for making moderately waterproof insulating coats, for refurbishing and preserving roofing made of building paper, for making jointless hydroinsulating roof coats on building paper, for moderate insulation of underground parts of buildings, and for laminates (including these reinforced with technical fabrics) that seal bottoms of industrial water reservoirs.
It is moderately modified with synthetic rubber (permanently flexible coat bonded strongly to the substrate), with additions of resins and chemical compounds that improve adherence to different substrates. To be used on dry and slightly damp substrates. It compresses small substrate movements and microcracks. It is fully resistant to water, weak acids and alkali. It contains an organic solvent.
Application
Substrate preparation Concrete substrate: Load-bearing substrate, free from any contamination (rust, dust, loose pieces), without stagnant water, must not be frozen or frosted. Blunt sharp edges, fill cavities and gaps in the substrate tightly, round corners, and even out highly porous surfaces with cement mortars intended for this purpose. In highly absorbent substrates and with high water pressure loading, it is necessary to prime the substrate with MEGABITUM R - BITUMINATIVE SOLVENT PRIMER. Roofing maintenance: Remove contamination, loose pieces of roofing felt and blisters. For gluing, use MEGABITUM L- COLD STICKER. Level out voids and cavities with MEGABITUM ROOFING PUTTY Stir before use. Use cold. Apply with a brush or a roofer's brush. Foundations, underground parts of buildings: Apply 2 or 3 layers (depending on the predictable water load) - another layer after drying the previous one (about 12 hours). Carefully connect to the foundations with the horizontal insulation. In difficult ground conditions, 3 layers are recommended, with a non-woven fabric embedded in the 2nd layer, which should then be folded at all corners. Maintenance of roof coverings and execution of coverings on concrete ceilings: Apply at least 2 layers, each subsequent layer after the previous one is dry (approx. 12 hours). The corners should be strengthened by sinking the technical fabric into the mass and folding it up to the appropriate height. It can be used for slopes with various degrees of inclination. When covering waterproofing concrete ceilings, prime the substrate with MEGABITUM R-BITUMIN SOLVENT PRIMER. Apply at least 3 layers, melting the fleece into the 2nd layer, which should then be folded over the vertical elements on the roof. In both cases, it is recommended to sprinkle the top layer with a mineral sprinkle to protect the cover against UV rays.
