Product properties
It is used for bonding eps boards and building paper, for all-season bonding of eps boards and laminar boards to concrete, bituminous substrates, and sheet metal, and for bonding building paper to concrete and to other building paper.
It is highly modified with synthetic rubber with admixture of resins and chemical compounds that improve adherence of eps to bituminous substrates, concrete and sheet metal. To be used on dry or slightly damp substrate. Unique elastoplastic properties. It is fully resistant to water, weak acids, and alkali. It contains an organic solvent that is safe for eps.
Application
Substrate preparation In the event of gluing roofing felt, prime the substrate with MEGABITUM - SOLVENT BITUMEN. Before applying the adhesive, the primed surface must be completely dry. OLD FINGER COVERINGS: Remove contamination, loose felt pieces and blisters. For gluing, use MEGABITUM - COLD STICKER. Level the gaps and cavities with the MEGABITUM - ROOFING PUTTY.
CONCRETE SUBSTRATES: Damage (tears, cracks) in the concrete substrate and highly porous fragments should be filled with a suitable mineral mortar. TRAPEZOIDAL SHEETS: Clean the surface of the sheet from all contamination. Remove loose layers of varnish, paint. Protect against corrosion. Glue with a steel trowel or putty knife. Do not use for tar paper, tar paper on aluminum tape and for covering polystyrene boards with tar paper.
BONDING OF ASPHALT PAPERS TO THE SUBSTRATE AND BETWEEN THE BACKGROUND: Apply on the entire surface, on the width of the applied layer of roofing felt. Wait 15-20 minutes, apply the tar paper and press it down. Apply a 10 cm overlap to the roofing felt. Grease the pap joints again from the top. When gluing new roofing papers to each other, priming is not required.
