Product properties
It is designed for roofwork repairs and sealing in building industry, repairs of blisters and leaks, filling missing elements in old roofing, sealing and repairing of flashing, and for surface levelling. It forms elastoplastic seamless hydroinsulating coats on underground parts of buildings (water reservoirs with concrete pressure plate).
It is highly modified with synthetic rubber and reinforced with fibres. Full resistance to water and compounds occurring in soil. To be used outdoors.
Application
Preparation of the substrate The substrate must not be frozen, covered with frost or stagnant water. REPAIR WORKS: Clean the place to be repaired and its vicinity from dust, leaves, etc. Prime porous surfaces with MEGABITUM - BITUMEN SOLVENT PRIMER.
MAKING SEAMLESS SEALING: Round angles and corners with mass, creating the so-called facet. Dusty substrate should be primed with MEGABITUM - BITUMINOUS SOLVENT PRIMER. Apply with a steel trowel or putty knife. Ventilate the work site intensively. Do not use for tar paper.
REPAIR WORKS: After the primer is dry, fill the damages with a layer 2 to 5 mm thick. When the surface is wet, rub the mass strongly into the ground in order to activate chemical compounds that increase adhesion to wet surfaces.
MAKING SEAMLESS JOINTS: After the primer is dry, apply the compound in two thin layers. Thickness of one layer 2-3 mm. Thinner layers should be applied especially when using the mass at high temperatures to ensure even evaporation of the solvent from the entire thickness of the layer.
