Foam Winter
The FORMULA 1 TUBE PU FOAM, is a one-component installation and sealing polyurethane foam that undergoes curing as a result of reacting with moisture. Surface drying time: about 20 minutes; full curing time: about 12 hours. FORMULA 1 foam is characterised by perfect adherence to the most building materials except PE, PP, rubber, Teflon surfaces, bitumen surfaces, etc. The completely cured foam can be machined: cut, polished, and, in addition, plastered and painted. Each time, it is necessary to protect (cover) it against harmful impact of UV radiation. It has many uses in the building industry, for example in door and window woodwork assembling, filling and insulating of cable bushings and pipe culverts, thermal insulation of water supply, sewerage and central heating systems, silencing and sealing of partition walls and car or boat cabs, and joining and sealing of prefabricated wooden elements during timber frame construction.
Application
Before use, the container with foam must be kept at room temperature for min. 12 hours. Optimum can temperature + 20 ° C. Use at an ambient temperature of -10 ° C. Shake vigorously for approx. 1 minute before use. Attach the hose to the valve. Keep the bottom up while working. Moisten the gaps to be filled with foam with a water sprayer. The substrate must be clean, degreased (especially smooth, even, non-absorbent surfaces, e.g. PVC), free of dust, oil and the like. The edges of the joints can be protected against soiling with masking tape. Window and door frames should be secured against warping with spacers until the foam is completely cured. Fresh foam residues can be removed with the BOSMAN FOAM CLEANER. Hardened foam can only be removed mechanically.
